Landslide Lives

She lives on the mountain
He lives by the breeze
She says, “let’s get going”
He says, “patience, please”

She sleeps up near heaven
He sleeps in the sand
She says, “let’s get out there”
He says, “when I can”

He thinks, “You could be my landslide.
Guess I’d be a hill of distant time
Give you seconds and more
Sliding time winds around and around
dripping slowly til two find the ground”
She just says, “alright.”

She stays with the blue sky
He stays in his sphere
She says, “come on up, boy”
He says, “come down here”

She runs with a black dog
He runs to the blue
She says, “where you going?”
He says, “up to you”

Up to you
It’s all up to you
All always up to you
She runs with a black dog
He runs to the blue
