Inside This Doll

Somewhere near a sunset
or under a different moon
Perhaps in our next lifetime
or maybe that’s too soon

Sometime, when the coast’s clear
We’ll shade a different hue
When the days stop shaking,
I’d like to be with you

Inside this doll is a doll’s a doll’s a doll
I want them all
Floating through the day
Circumstances stay
Nothing’s ever-changing
Something’s always here
To have somebody around

When my painting’s gloomy
and my purples melt to blues
When my brush is dripping
I’d like to be with you

If life ever rewinds
Drenched in sunshine dew
When I chase the legends,
I’d like to be with you
