Black Marble

Step out of a photo, strut into a room
Lean into an empty throne
Tempt me with the moon

Still beneath a candle. Playful in the dark
Closed green eyes, she breathes and bends
Dragon, white lace, spark

Sending pieces
Sliding down
and slipping up

Pull the strap
Hold on tight
Rolling back our eyes tonight
Look at me
Watching you
Right side up and so unglued

Wax drips sideways slowly, marbled black and white
Focused, humming, two deep breaths
Dives into the night

Fuzzy floors and starlight, losing track of time
Turns around and glances up
To smile at the rime
