Maybe Please

Green-eyes in black and white
Shovel through a Monday night
A queen-carved path, she’s all alone
She makes her way back to her throne

Grinning as the snow surrounds
She picks flowers from the ground
Looking down, a pleasant smile
She’s dreamt of seeing for a while

Snow sails on the water
Leaves hang on the breeze
A frog skates on a frozen pond
A bird falls to its knees
Singing, “Maybe? Please.”

Green-eyes in black and white
Writing through a Monday night
A king-carved path, he’s on his own
He flips the page, reveals a throne

Dancing through a mushroom cloud
He plays her song, plays it loud
Looking up, an ancient smile
He’s dreamt of seeing for a while

Snow sails on the water
Leaves hang on the breeze
A frog skates on a frozen pond
A bird falls to its knees
Singing, “Maybe? Please?”
