Smiling Eyes (5/2015)

Smiling Eyes

eclectic taste, electric waste
the moment stops inside her
kaleidoscopes, to help her cope
and realize what my thoughts were

blue spinning eyes and sunset lies
she keeps her ear to the ground
hears interstates as blue dilates
now this is my kind of town

walking up a one way street
while the sun sinks down in front of me
wishing on that one way street
that your eyes would smile back at me

above the crowd, below the clouds
laughs colliding, colors swirl
yellow dripping daisy clippings
bring a smile to this city girl

full of wonder, heartbeat thunder
there’s no such thing as the end
you whispered of, falling in love
I hope I see you again
