By the creek, I spent some time.
By the creek, I left my mind.
In my mind, I’m at the creek.
In my mind, I pass by me.
Drive to a walk to a fall down a hill
to think a little more than you’re used to.
The more we move forward,
the faster it comes back around.
Years say it’s flown on.
I keep an eye on the sky
in hopes that something will happen.
On this rock, I think of you.
On this rock, I sing the blues.
To the blue, I skip word-rocks.
To the blue, I’m just small talk.
Looking up I see two eyes,
those unmistakable eyes.
Ears hear by my side.
By the creek, that’s when I smiled.
