Something magic ‘bout walking in the evening
Sliding white lights and I can’t hear a thing.
I suppose maybe the singing,
or maybe that’s just me.
Coasting, I pen a letter to me in my mind.
A list of old words that my voice never tried.
Was lost. I missed. I miss and love you.
Wait, I’m not sure how to start this.
Can’t count the times center stage on two hands.
Like those eyes in my mirror spin when mine spin,
I give it all, pull the wheel, fingers crossed for a win.
Pray it won’t stop on “start over again”
again.
Every once in a while waving to strangers.
Found some magic, out walking in the evening
Purple wind skimmed and I couldn’t think a thing.
I suppose maybe the loving,
or maybe that’s just me.
Smile, guide a boat with your Wisdom.
I dream of mine out west.
Coasting.
I pen a letter to me in my mind.
Words you should have heard
that my voice never tried.
I get tired from not knowing
so I walk out in the evening.
