Coasting Past Waves

We sleep in beds so we don’t stand
and fall into a riot land

We stretch our eyes and rest our mind
and travel to a distant time

We hand with feet and walk on hands
And somehow they still understand

Rewinding
Unwinding
Come find me on the beach
Don’t mind me
I’m finding
Some flaws in what they preach

Before I mozy that way
Before I go on home at the end of the day

We play in waves destroying troughs
And ride the peaks onto blast off

We eat our fear on bumpy roads
The doubt we dropped, we watched explode

We use our heart to get ahead
‘Til we sleep peacefully in bed
