Moon Lady

Seeds thrown from wings
Bring song, life, and dancers
He’s lived it all
Real rough life romancer

He met a moon lady
In a jungle on a Sunday
Crashing dishes at the wall
Floating on a flying rug
She caught him tossing a mirrored smile
Said, “I’ll see you in a little while”

Wind beneath feet
Lends light, lift, and sunshine
He’s seen it all
What’s wound up can unwind

He met a moon lady
She was pretty, sunny, lacking shady
No debating
The side of the moon you can’t see too soon
Wind kissed skin covered turquoise bones
Boiled by a heart of gold
Kept him warm when he got cold

Snow covered ground
Melts, crowds, falls, and freezes
He’s been it all
Can’t decide which one his breeze is

He met a moon lady
Highway south, they flipped and fell
Crumpled bills and wishing wells
Sunset sweeps and distance leaps
To hands of time, so suddenly
On the ground and up above
And out of touch and deep in love

He met a moon lady
